From Mexico City: Take the
exit route from Mexico City via the Calzada Zaragoza, then take the
highway to Puebla. After going through the main traffic booth it's
about a 40 minute drive to San Martin Texmelucan; go past (under) 5
concrete overpasses (bridges) and turn onto route 117, 'cuota' to
Tlaxcala. Follow the signs to ZACATLAN-TLAXCO. You will get to the
city of Apizaco, where you'll turn left and pass a traffic circle where
there's a train engine (circle called 'La Maquinita'). Continue for 21
Km. (about 12 miles), past (about half way) train rails, to a sign on
the right indicating 'ATOTONILCO', there' a high school on the corner.
Then go 2 miles to the town of XALOSTOC. Turn right to the hacienda
just after you get to the church on the hill (past 5 traffic breakers).
By Bus: There are various lines that go directly to Tlaxco, a
town 5 minutes from the hacienda. Take the ATAH line from the TAPO bus
terminal. There are various places in Tlaxco where taxis are
available: the gas station, the bank, and the park. Cost to the
hacienda is about 2 dollars.
From Puebla: Almost continual bus service from the CAPU station
to Apizaco; we will arrange to have you picked up on arrival in Apizaco.
